Alexander Keiller Museum Description

The investigation of Avebury Stone Circles was largely the work of Alexander Keiller in the 1930s. He put together one of the most important prehistoric archaeological collections in Britain, which can be seen here.

Opening Times - 2011

Stone Circle:

  • Open all year: daily, dawn till dusk

Museum:

  • 1st January - 31st March: daily, 10 am - 4 pm
  • 1st April - 31st October: daily, 10 am - 6 pm
  • 1st November - 31st December: daily, 10 am - 4 pm
  • 2nd January - 31.March: daily, 10 am - 4 pm

Last admission 30 minutes before closing

Closed: 24th - 26th December.
