Your Reviews of Apsley House
Anon (22 July 2006)
Upon entering the impressive front doors of Apsley House one is immediately embraced in the antique world of a genuine private palace. The private and state guardians of this lovely home have preserved its spirit as well as its decor. Proceeding through the sumptuously appointed public rooms of the house (the private upper floor rooms are still occupied by the descendants of the Duke) one feels the presence of aristocratic society of vanished times. It can be a jolt to look through the high windows and find modern London surrounding the gorgeous interiors that are "frozen in time". A visit to Apsley House is a must for the connoisseur of fine old interiors.
