Haddon Hall is my favourite place in the world. It is like stepping into another world of pure history. Moreover, they keep discovering more history there, with the discovery of the King John wall in the last few years. The whole place is wonderfully preserved without the feeling as though everything has been made new. One of my favourite parts is a set of stairs that are worn down in the middle after hundreds of years of use. It's very hands on as well. In addition, the setting is stunning, high up on a hill with the river down below and bridge. To me it is perfection.
