Blairquhan Castle & Gardens Description

The present house at Blairquhan was built by William Burn for Sir David Hunter Blair in the Tudor Gothic style, very much in favour in the 19th century. Parts of the old castle were used but essentialy this was a new house and it survives little changed.

The family have always been as passionate about their estate as they have about their home and the result today is a well blended panorama, much sought after as a wedding venue.
