Buckingham Palace Description

Buckingham Palace is the official residence of Her Majesty the Queen in London. As such it is in constant use for a wide variety of matters of State by the Sovereign. In recent years these have been so arranged that it has been possible for the Palace to be opened to a wider public to enjoy the magnificent interiors.

The State Rooms

• 30th June - 8th July: daily, 9.45 am - 6.30 pm (last admission 3.45 pm)
• 31st July - 7th October: daily, 9.45 am - 6.30 pm (last admission 3.45 pm)

The Queen's Gallery

• All year: daily, 10 am - 5.30 pm (last admission 4.30 pm)

• 8th October - 1st November
• 25th - 26th December

The Royal Mews

• 1st February - 31st March: Monday - Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm (last admission 3.15 pm)
• 1st November - 21st December: Monday - Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm (last admission 3.15 pm)
• 1st April - 31st October: Daily, 10 am - 5 pm (last admission 4.15 pm)
• Closed: 6th April, 16th June, 22nd - 31st December and during state visits and royal events
