Cambo Gardens Description
Another of those wonderful Scottish gardens that seem to survive even if everything else goes over the side. Home of the Erskine family the house had a first floor conservatory, which did not survive the rebuilding of the house after a fire started by an over-exuberant staff party in the family's absence.
But it is for the gardens that people go to Cambo. Described as an oasis of peace and tranquillity there is no Gulf Stream here, yet the quality and variety of the plants is deeply impressive in what is undoubtedly an iconic Victorian garden with a modern twist.
