Castle Leod Description

Castle Leod is pre - 15th century and made of pink sandstone. It is set amidst beautiful parkland with a backdrop of mountains. It remains one of the few unaltered castles in Scotland since 1600 and has been a family home for 500 years. Visitors are greeted by family members and made to feel they are entering a real home. The grounds have magnificent trees which include the biggest in the world at its latitude as well as the earliest recorded planting of any tree in Britain.

  • 27th - 31st July: 2 - 5.30 pm
  • 24th - 28th August: 2 - 5.30 pm
  • 28th September - 2nd October: 2 - 5.30 pm
  • Last admission 4.45 pm
