City of London Temple of Mithras Description
One of the most unusual sights in London, The Temple of Mithras was moved from its original site under a large building, and marks what may have been one of the most important Temples to Mithras, the Zoroastrian God who was a cult figure with Roman males.
Demanding a strong loyalty to a demanding code of personal morality, Mithras may well have caused deep concern amongst contemporary Christians.
