Clinton Lodge Garden Description
Against the elegant background of a robust classical 17th century house with an 18th century façade the eye is drawn to a column on a distant hill over cool lawns and parkland.
The garden occupies around six acres that are divided into smaller gardens which reflect periods of that cherished commodity, English Garden design. Amongst the very recognisable fashionables are an Elizabethan herb garden with turf seats and camomile paths and a wild meadow. A 20th century swimming pool reflects the passing years, and new gardens are always being added.
In the Vinery homemade cakes and tea tempt the unwary in the nicest possible way and postcards and preserves help assuage the commercial inclinations of those who have family and friends hearing of their visit to Clinton Lodge Gardens.

There is an exquisite garden overlooking the Ouse Valley and Sheffield Park. Visiting the gardens is an absolute must, should the opportunity to go there arise.
