Cutty Sark Description
No sooner had the decision been made in 2006 to restore the Cutty Sark and the work started, than a serious fire threatened the whole project. Heroic work by the fire brigade, and the fact that much of the ship had already been stripped for conservation, meant that after the flames had been quelled this noble veteran of the seas still had a future.
A new and novel way of showing the fully restored ship, which re-opens to the public in Spring 2012, means that more people can see and learn more about the Cutty Sark than hitherto.
