Dinefwr Park and Castle Description

An 18th-century landscape park which includes Newton House, built in 1660 but now with a Victorian Gothic façade. An exhibition explains the importance of Dinefwr in Welsh history. The medieval deer park, overlooked by the fountain garden, has restricted public access. It is home to around 100 Fallow deer and the famous Dinefwr White Park Cattle.

There are fine views over the Towy Valley with an ice house and boardwalk suitable for families and wheelchair users. There is also access to Dinefwr Castle, owned by the Wildlife Trust West Wales.
