Escot Historic Gardens, Maze & Fantasy Woodland Description

Enjoy the natural historical gardens and fantasy woodland which surround the ancestral home of the Kennaway family; in 220 acres of parkland you'll find an ark-full of animals with paths, trails and vistas, and everywhere beautiful flowers in their seasons, shrubs and magnificent champion trees.

You can see the birds of prey, otters, red squirrels and wild boar, get lost in their amazing 4,000 beach tree maze or try your hand at the Escot letterboxing challenge.

The Coach House Restaurant serves coffees - cappuccino, latte etc - home cooked lunches; cream teas and mouth-watering home-made cakes and desserts. You can visit their Pet and Aquatic Centre where you can find one of the most extensive collections of tropical and pond fish in the West Country plus an excellent range of pets to buy including birds, hamsters, rabbits and guinea pigs and expert advice on how to care for them.

The House of Marbles shop stocks a comprehensive range of all the games toys puzzles and pastimes, presents for men and women and children of all ages for which House of Marbles has become so well known. Escot is just off the A30, between Exeter and Honiton at Fairmile just follow the brown tourist signs.
