Ferniehirst Castle Description
Sometimes open to the public Ferniehirst is primarily a place for functions, accommodation and other focused occupations. And a fine place it is – beautifully restored now, it started life as a Peel tower in1476 and the HQ for Clan Kerr.
The property slopes down to the banks of the River Jed. This is the sort of setting that visitors to Scotland dream about, and it is great to see it in such good shape and so much part of the community.
