Gloucester Cathedral Description
Gloucester Cathedral's massive bulk and soaring architecture remains powerfully beautiful, probably thanks to its outstanding Romanesque and Perpendicular style. As a setting for worship or secular events such as the annual Three Choirs Festival it is peerless.
Edward II is buried here and Gloucester Cathedral to this day carries the robust yet reverent aura of a place of pilgrimage. The stained glass dates from the 14th to the late 20th century and is amongst the most important of its period in England.

Your Reviews of Gloucester Cathedral
Kevin Powell (17 November 2009)
Always well worth a visit to Gloucester Cathedral. I pop in whenever I am in town if I have time. There is always something new to see and the light is different every time. The Great East Window is outstanding, and a Tower Tour is fascinating. Tewkesbury Abbey is also well worth visiting if you are in the vicinity.
