Larmer Tree Gardens Description
Created in 1880 by General Augustus Pitt Rivers, these beautiful 11-acre Victorian gardens are nestled in the heart of the Cranborne Chase, on the Wiltshire Dorset border. They were the first privately owned gardens to be opened for public enjoyment and hold a unique collection of ornate buildings, including Nepalese Rooms, a spectacular Singing Theatre and Roman Temple. The majestic trees and intimate arbours create an enchanting and tranquil atmosphere, the perfect setting for a relaxing visit.
