Royal Observatory Greenwich & Queen's House Description
The National Maritime Museum, Royal Observatory, Greenwich and the Queen's House are all embraced within the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site.
The National Maritime Museum explores Britain's encounter with the world at sea from the 16th to the early 20th centuries.
The Royal Observatory, Greenwich is the home of Greenwich Mean Time and the Prime Meridian of the World, making it the official starting point for each new day and year. It is also houses London's only planetarium, the Harrison timekeepers and the UK's largest refracting telescope.
The 17th-century Queen's House represents a turning point in English architecture. It now showcases the Museum's fine-art collection and provides a unique venue for weddings, corporate and private events.

- Open: daily, 10 am - 5 pm
- Last admission 4.30 pm
- Later opening in summer for Meridian Line
- Varies at New Year and marathon Day on 25th April
- Closed: 24th - 26th December.
