St Hychan's Church Description

Your Reviews of St Hychan's Church

Philip Chew (17 September 2012)

St Hychan's is a beautiful Church with a depth of Spirituality that is difficult to describe unless visited. It is one of the Celtic Trinity of Churches in the Vale of Clwyd. It is the second church you will visit if you are a Pilgrim following the 'Celtic Trinity Pilgrims Way'. Starting at Llanynys (the Island Parish) which boasts the best preserved medieval wall painting in Britain of the patron saints of travelers. St Hychan's will take your breath away as you approach it and it will make you feel that you have at last arrived home, with its comfortable aspect. As you approach the south door you feel that it is too small to enter, giving the Church its 21st century nick name the 'Hobbit Church'. Well worth a visit!!!!
