The Stanway House Summer Fete took place today and we luckily decided to go there instead of another one. We were first time visitors to Stanway and WOW!!!!!! what a stunning place. The grounds and the water gardens are fantastic and the Fountain is unbelievable. The house is beautiful, peaceful and emits a warm feeling, but needs mountains of restoration on the inside. It was a wonderful experience that will stay with us for a long time.

Passing by the Stanway House & Water Garden on Saturday evening, June 28, we had the good fortune to experience the fountain towering over the magnificent estate. Innocently we walked into the gardens and enjoyed their splendour, before we realised that we unknowingly had entered a private gathering. Needless to say, we retreated rather quickly - and certainly stayed away from the tables! Still, the beauty and friendly ambiance of Stanway will stay with us as a treasured memory.
